The clone E34 antibody is reported to bind to the lateral ridge of domain III in the envelope glycoprotein. Functional activity is confirmed by reactivity in immunofluorescence assays using Vero cells (ATCC CCL-81) infected with WNV and by ELISA using WNV-infected cell lysates [WNV, Eg101 (Egypt 1951)].
