Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--23.0, 9.4, 6.2, 3.9, 2.8; NotI-->23.0, 20.0; PvuI--23.0, 14.0, 8.2; SalI--23.0, 14.5, 9.4; XbaI--23.0, 13.0, 9.4, 3.9. When the complete insert is used as a probe, it has been prehybridized with sonicated total human placental DNA to block repetitive sequences. The MspI and BanI RFLPs were not observed in Caucasians. The allele frequencies are for American Blacks. |
