Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): HindIII--3.25; HaeIII--0.64, 0.6, 0.44, 0.26, + smaller fragments; EcoRI/HindIII--3.0, 0.24. Contains all but the first 10 bp of the homeo box. Detects transcripts of 1.7 and 1.9 kb in murine brain and cervical and thoracic spinal column, but not in the lumbar spinal column. pMo4-1, which contains this sequence, detects a human genomic EcoRI fragment of 12 kb and a mouse genomic EcoRI fragment of 2.8 kb. |
