Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--2.7, 1.2, 1.0; HindIII--4.8; PstI--3.1, 0.9, 0.8; BamHI--4.8; BglI--2.8, 1.1, 0.9. According to the new nomenclature system, the gene symbol is WINT-2. Extends from nt 1 to nt 2019 of the published sequence. Not a complete cDNA. Transcription starts about 50 nt 5' of the 5' end of this insert. The 3' non-coding region is shorter than some other transcripts, utilizing the ATTAAA termination signal at nt 1996. |
