A EcoRI/HindIII double digest reveals fragments of 4.6, 3.8, and 0.4 kb from the insert. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--9.0, 3.0; EcoRI/HindIII--4.4, 3.55, 2.85, 0.52; EcoRI--12.0. HindIII also identifies a 2-allele RFLP (18 kb, 14 kb, with a constant band at 5 kb) but this has not yet been verified with pedigree studies. Codominant segregation demonstrated in 52 3-generation families. Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: MspI, RsaI, PvuII, PstI, BglII. |
