The Adenovirus Reference Material (ARM) consists of purified Adenovirus, Type 5 (wild type adenovirus, see ATCC VR-5) formulated as a sterile liquid in 20 mM TRIS, 25 mM NaCl, 2.5% glycerol, pH 8.0 at room temperature, and stored frozen at -70°C. The configuration is 0.5-mL in a Type II glass vial with a Teflon-coated gray butyl stopper, plus an aluminum seal and crimp closure.
Vials have not been tested sufficiently at liquid nitrogen (vapor or liquid) temperatures. At this time it is not certain whether or not the seal will be maintained at cryogenic temperatures.
