Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--4.5; EcoRI--4.5; EcoRI/HindIII--2.7, 1.8; PstI--4.5; XbaI--4.5.
When combined with the TaqI RFLP detected by cX55.7, the heterozygosity at DXS105 is about 52%.
This probe was derived from cos55 and contains some repetitive sequences. Hybridization should be at 42C in 50% formamide and washes should be at 68C, 0.2X SSC.
